Turunc is a small town in the north-east of the Bozburun Peninsula at the southwestern tip of Turkey, in the region where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean. It is known as one of the most beautiful bays in the breathtaking geography of the South Aegean, adorned with large and small islets, fjords, and the slopes covered with sandalwood trees, olive groves and the green texture of pine forests.

The basin formed by Palamut Hill at 920 meters in the west, Eren at 817 meters in the southwest, Yumru and Mersinli Hills at 350 meters in the south and north opens to the breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea in the east and forms Turunç Bay in the form of a closed arc below. Following the Keçi Island, Aksaz Bay, Yılancık Island, Ekincik Bay, Dalyan Delta and Iztuzu Beach at the entrance of Marmaris Bay, the coves and capes of the coastline reaching Fethiye from Göcek, and the extensions of the Shadowy Mountains behind them, are the elements of this magnificent view that can be viewed from the Turunç hills.

Turunç is the first bay outside Marmaris Bay, facing the open sea. Transportation to Icmeler, which is 9 km away, and to Marmaris, which is 19 km away, is provided by minibuses and minibus boats that make regular reciprocal voyages by road. Dalaman Airport is 120 km, Bodrum Airport is 170 km.

Transportation from Marmaris

You can reach Marmaris from Turunç in 25 minutes by private car, 35 by minibus or 45 minutes by minibus (usually infantry type). Transportation by boat is an extremely enjoyable/economic boat trip beyond transportation. It's worth trying at least once.
